Trooping the Colour 9 June
The Sovereign's birthday is officially celebrated by the ceremony of Trooping the Colour (Queen's Birthday Parade). This impressive display of pageantry takes place on a Saturday in June by her personal troops, the Household Division, on Horse Guards Parade, with Her Majesty the Queen herself attending and taking the salute. Over 1400 officers and men are on parade, together with two hundred horses; over four hundred musicians from ten bands and corps of drums march and play as one. Some 113 words of command are given by the Officer in Command of the Parade. The parade route extends from Buckingham Palace along The Mall to Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall and back again.
Taste of London 13 – 17 June
Taste of London is the definitive showcase of the capital’s best restaurants, top chefs and leading food and drink brands.
The festival occurs twice each year. Our flagship event will be popping up in the stunning Regent’s Park from 13 – 17 June 2018; with 55,000 food-loving visitors set to attend. Taste of London is the highlight of the summer foodie calendar, as London’s latest, greatest and most exciting restaurants serve up taster size signature dishes, world-class chefs cook up a storm live on stage and, as always, there will be many opportunities to get hands-on with interactive masterclasses and shop from an array of more than 200 food and drink purveyors.
Royal Ascot 19 – 23 June
Royal Ascot is Britain’s most valuable race meeting, attracting many of the world’s finest racehorses to compete for more than £6.5m in prize money. Our eighteen Group races, eight of them Group One, have made household names of Royal Ascot winners like Black Caviar, Frankel and Yeats. Each year the meeting is broadcast to audiences around the globe, yet to experience it in person is something altogether more special. The Royal Meeting’s spectacular heritage, unlike any other, has made the event anticipated and revered the world over. From the arrival of the Royal Procession at 2 pm sharp to the communal singing around the Bandstand, with six top-class races between, each of the five days is unforgettable.
Michael Jackson On The Wall, National Portrait Gallery 28 June - 21 October
This landmark exhibition explores the influence of Michael Jackson on some of the leading names in contemporary art, spanning several generations of artists across all media. Curated by Dr Nicholas Cullinan, Director of the National Portrait Gallery, the exhibition will open in the summer of 2018 to coincide with what would have been Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday. Since Andy Warhol first used his image in 1982, Jackson has become the most depicted cultural figure in visual art by an extraordinary array of leading contemporary artists. . For the first time, Michael Jackson:On the Wall will bring together the works of over forty of these artists, drawn from public and private collections around the world, including new works made especially for the exhibition.
Wimbledon 2 – 15 July
Wimbledon is the by far the most iconic of all four grand slams steeped in history and the trophy all the greats want to win. Wimbledon is the only grand slam played on grass.

London Film and Comic Con 27 July - 29 July
London Film & Comic Con promises to bring you some of your favourite stars from TV, Film and Comics as well as a whole host of fun activities including photo shoots, panels, autograph sessions and hundreds of stalls full of TV and Film memorabilia to browse.
